I say it depends upon the rules of the game. Some games do not want to restrict the players. Some do. I don't think it is a problem so long as a record of the emails is kept just in case a question about cheating arrises.

IMHO, there is absolutely nothing wrong with email communication. Or IM communication, or private forums for specific players, for that matter. |
