Default Re: Noob Training Series

Thank you, one and all for the replies and the suggestions. They are all helpful to me. Prior to my 1st post here, I had already played the tutorial scenario and found it most enjoyable for a variety of reasons. I may not be all that computer savy but I do have some experience with modern warfare sims. "Back in the day" I worked R+D in the modern warfare departments of companies like SPI,OSG, and West End Games between 1980 and 1987 I believe. It's a favorite game environment of mine. I don't know if any of you recognize the aforementioned but we were designing before there was realy even a big home PC market.

I only mention this because if there is a need to create a kind of "training series" like I was looking for, I'd like to be a part of creating it once I get my skills up to par. There are some scenarios and operational campaigns that I might be able to translate back into winSPMBT if I can find my old stuff and i people will be interested. I could of course also serve as a guinea pig for any ideas any of you may have in this regard.

It will take me awhile to learn enough basics to move onto the scenario editors, map editor/creator functions and so forth so nothing much is going to happen right away. One thing I have found already by reading through the campaigns is one called "Heart of Africa" that seems to fit the description of what I was looking for. It seems fairly basic in terms of force composition but if I'm wrong, please give me a quick warning before I beat my head into the wall lol.

If I do happen to find stuff of old that may be useful, where should I post it? Thanks again everyone and more ideas will be much appreciated.
