Adding new units and graphics?

The 'Shp Ed' utility can be found in the games GRAPHICS folder here:

WinSPMBT\Game Data\Graphics

Though depending on what version of SHP Ed you have, SHP Ed may display about 63 icons instead of about 35.

How do I create a BMP image of an icon? Use an existing SHP? I can't find any way to do that. Create one from scratch?

Learn how to drive the SHPEd utility - it has an SHP->BMP extraction facility AFAIR.
