Savegame Folder
Is it save to asume that all the gamedate is saved at mydocuments\AGK\Approachinginfinity\media ?
Im trying to get my savegame over to my notebook and so far just copying everything in this folder over seems to work fine.
I don't want to break anything and therefore im asking.

Re: Savegame Folder
@Fennrick,
I don't have the full version yet (coming in snail mail) but in the demo, if you zip up the entire media directory that you describe above (when the game is NOT running), then you can transfer that over to another machine and everything is ready for you to continue your character's run.

Re: Savegame Folder
Fennrick,
You should take care not to copy the .reg file, as that may require you to re-register each time you transfer.
But yes, the save files are contained within the media folder you describe.

Re: Savegame Folder
Great thanks. That explains why i had to enter a key again. I hope copying one savegame back and forth between installations with different keys is not bad.
(I bought two versions, one download, one savebox+manual so i used a different key on both installations.)

Re: Savegame Folder
sir, the .reg file should not be copied. that is the only thing that will cause you any trouble, and even that trouble is just a momentary annoyance. re-registering on the same computer does not count as a 'unique install'.
Also, I quoted you on twitter yesterday...that post about loving the game... I really appreciate it.

Re: Savegame Folder
Sure. Reading it today i thought it to be a bit overenthusiastic at first, but after playing the game again for an hour, (Too much work to do.) im just back in with my previous oppinion. There IS a lot to love here. I like the emergent gameplay for example. Right at sector six i had huge problems with some kind of super space pirate who constantly would hunt me down and almost killed me, so the whole game took a shift to me just exploring lower and higher sectors for better gear/data/credits so i could finally beat this guy. Another thing: I like the different behavior of different races. Tentakulons gathering around anomalies and pirates retreating when damaged and then trying to attack you again after they healed a bit. Good stuff all around.

Re: Savegame Folder
I love that kind of stuff too. I'm glad you had the patience to beat him.
"tentaculons gathering around anomalies"...yeah, that's kinda their thing
