I'm just thinking...
What do you guys think about an Approaching Infinity contest?

Re: I'm just thinking...
Hi Fennrick:
I really don't have an opinion yet, I am open to suggestions. I just thought it would be a good thing to do. The game is building momentum and we are always open to these kinds of things. The key is to find something compelling.
Cheers,

Pancake making contest ... oh, wait.
Well, something artistic seems like a natural choice for a contest, but I don't feel particularly artistic at the moment (I feel like keeling over and sleeping, to be honest), I doubt in my ability to suggest anything that makes sense.

Re: I'm just thinking...
Contests to come up with new content sound good to me. That would be an opportunity to get new content into the game... though I'm not sure we have enough modders yet. I am still playing the game as a player only, and I might prefer not to look at the mod files for fear of spoilers. But if there were such a contest, I'd try them out, at least with non-spoiler parts such as the shipwreck editor. Making special shipwrecks (and cave levels?) for others to explore could be done without having to figure out modding or look at spoilers. Art and/or log entries could be something too.
The ones you like well enough could be incorporated into a future patch, which would be extra cool because then people could get their mod content in without having their games not count when they use it.

I'm not in favour of an artistic contest as it immediately rules me out as I'm very non arty.
