But did he hop a flight to the continental U.S. to buy it, or did he buy it once he'd flown across for other reasons? It makes a difference, to me at least.

IIRC, he was already in the US for other reasons, and just bought it because it was easier than ordering it from Africa. More a coincidence than a planned course of action, really.

It is still possible that his business trip was a cover-up to get SEIV. He never admitted it on forums just in case his employer is watching over him.

Saxon should offer up a good marketing/sales quote something like....
