I think you need a link to a free hosting service in order to view pictures on the forum. Otherwise, the forum software seems to want to link it as an attatchment which requres a click to view, as well as being limited in the size of the photo linked.

It's similar on some other forums I have looked at - and when some previously free site went down, or started to want money, old posts pictures were replaced with a service announcement...
