Um, not quite. This is a solo game, so I don't get the list of players. And (IIRC) you should get the "data files don't match" error
before you get to the player list. (I think). But I could play the game as if no error had occured!!!
I should mention that the game was an updated from P&Nv3.1 to v3.1b (NOT from v3.0 to 3.1b! The two are incompatible, according to SJ, so I just started a new game in 3.1 instead of trying to migrate my 3.0 game.)
to rehash:
With Modpicker:
- click "load savegame"
- error shows up before any other game screens.
But...
- click "play SE4" (when P&Nv3.1b is highlighted)
- Main screen comes up
- click "load Game"
- choose the game in question
- Game loads and plays without the error message
Ummmmm.... huh?
