Hey, how did you do that ? When I tried Cirilic encoding in IE, my post still was in Latin !
BTW, It should be "ja ne govoryu po russki" instead of "ja ne govoryu na russkom"

An arguement about canon say referring to Soviet vs US aircraft design would be just as pointless - since they ripped off most of our designs anyway.
Nonsense. It was other way around. - Just to keep discussion open.

Actually, you just have to look at the pre-WWII planes of US, Russian, German, English, and even Japanese - and compare them to later planes these countries produced. EVERYBODY was guilty of taking others designs!!

And why not? If the bad guys have something good, steal it!

Re: My two kopecks ...
Taz, they didn't steal the designs because they couldn't come up with it, it's because they needed to begin on something fundamental.
Imagine what would have happened if the American engineers at the time of the WW2 when they were facing superior (At the time) Japanese fighters said:
lets spend more crucial time creating new and original planes that just MIGHT work against the japanese!
thankfully, that wasn't the case, and I'm not speaking japanese.
