Unit and terrain data not displaying under mouse

My windows 11 home offers 800x600 monitor mode. 640 is long gone, and I doubt there would be much screen real estate at 800 with its supersized task bar and giant icons!

(First thing I did with windows 11 was find a program that allowed me a thin task bar, and to move the icons left, though newer models of W11 allow left shifting, they do not allow you to have small icons and a thin task bar - so it was straight to review sites and then Explorer Patcher for me - back to a W10 type task bar, no silly widgets, the launch screen is better as well!)

Thanks to all of you gentlemen for your suggestions regarding proper display on my monitor. I will check out all your solutions and post later what works, if anything.
