I can't agree with ZeroAdunn more.
Generally, only the top percentile of high school students go to college which makes the competition for marks much more fierce.
Then there are the distractions of college which we all want to sample. Many students lose themselves in it.
The first year is always the toughest. The faculty usually weeds out students until an "acceptable" level of enrollment is achieved.
Complete the first year and the following ones are much easier.
But all work and no play makes for a dull boy. Entertainment is important and helps to maintain a balanced perspective in life.
With all the competing demands upon us as well as our oun desires to satisfy our needs, finding that balance is not only interesting and challenging

When You hit a situation that requires some morals ( or what ever you want to call them ) instead of wasting time thinking about it.
Go.
"Would Conan do this?"
If the answer is yes then do it.
If the answer is no then go rewatch the first movie and then ask your self the question again.
Repeat until answer equals yes.

Tesco, I am not sure that is good advice.
Say, a person runs over a little old lady crossing the street. A lot of people have the instinct to "run away".
Running away may allow the person to possibly avoid facing the repercussions of hitting the little old lady.
However painful staying at the scene may be, there is a greater likelihood of not being charged (vis-a-vis running away). And if they do charge you, the likelihood is that it will be for a less serious offence
But if you do run away and if the cops do find you, you will be charged with hit and run and God knows what else.

How many do you mean by "top percentile"?
In the US, 61.7% of the graduating class of 2001 entered college the following fall. (The Web search I did to dig this up produced an URL too long to repost.)

Does that include junior colleges as well as normal colleges? JCs admit anyone that is breathing and 18.
