Re: What is the etymology of your moniker?
Years ago I went by Wolverine, after my 4-wheeler. People kept thinking it was a X-men reference, so I changed it to wolfman. Not related in any way but the sound. 77 is the year I was born, I use it whenever the name is already registered.

Wow. Some good stories in this thread.
Mine is more pedestrian. After years of henpecking by my mate Attillette the Hun, I decided "Hunpecked" was an appropriate choice.

Sounds neat to me.

Re: What is the etymology of your moniker?
Mine is the name of a character that can be found in one of my favorite computer games...a character that is incredibly hard to find, so its not very common. I have no idea about where the game creator may have dug the name up, tho.
Anyone else on these forums ever found niltrias? Don't ask me which game; if you found him, you would definitely remember.
Or you could google it, I suppose.
Niltrias

Re: What is the etymology of your moniker?
I have no imagination, my moniker is my first and middle initials and my last name followed by two fours cause I like 4.
J = Joshua
A = Adam
Fisher
44 = cool number

I've got your back.... I'm also 1/4 Norwegian! Not all that into European mythology...
Anyhow, my handle comes from my other hobby: Warhammer 40k, a miniature battles wargame set in the future. I wound up selecting as my army the Emperor's Children, and then after that began using that in their forums. I've used the name ever since.
