Server down
Rev, your server went down right at the end of my thirty minute turn taking. I don't know if the turn took or not.

Re: Server down?
Sorry Rev. I did not mean to sound ungrateful. I really appreciate you hosting these games.

As of this posting, server appears to be up and running, and R'lyeh's turn registers as taken.

Re: MP Game - Karan 36H QH - Started
Also, now that we have hit the 50 turn mark, and given the recent DNS troubles, would anyone strenuosly object to 48hr. QH schedule?
The extra 12 hours ought to leave enough time for me to catch problems and avoid any additional stales.

Oh, come on, you are exagerating... You are the one that killed my poor archdevil
not once, but four times. I have never killed any of your guys but once.
Quote:
Seriously (as far as the word can be applied), though, it seems Abysia has a rather nice slew of artifacts, all the blood uniques and powerful armies (in comparison to me at least, but I suck like a pro).
|
Exagerations, exagerations... I do not even have the alchemist stone, for Pete's
sake. And without counting those you blew up to smittereens, I barely have half
the blood uniques... Hell, I do not even have all the ice devils. As for the
armies, the majority are crossbowmen and archers. Hard working blokes that I
needed to employ taking down Caelum's walls, after the birdies shamelessly
attacked me without warning.
And you do not suck - I lifted the siege from the capital only this turn, and
didn't even kill anyone.
Quote:
To top it I witnessed him hellbinding poor Nephele under his rule, so things look grim indeed.
|
Well, did I ask to be attacked (without a warning, again) by the main army of
Vanheim? I watched them wipe out the flower of Ermor's mages, of course I was
going to defend myself. I got lucky, is all...
Quote:
One might add that from what I've seen, his pretender alone is enough to off Man (yes, that's you, Saeter)
|
And I assure you that Man is last nation I would ever attack. We have been
good neighbors, and I fully intend to keep it this way.
Quote:
so I'd suggest a joint move from the remaining players right now. I doubt if even that is enough, but one has to at least try, right?
|
Oh, come on... you are just flattering me. I am sure that C'tis and Man have
more pressing concerns than a peaceful nation like Abysia that is struggling
with two powerful opponents. Admit it, you are secretely in the employ of
Pangaea's AI, trying to distract its future victims while it backstabs them.
Shame on you!
Quote:
Did I mention his absolutely astonishing research prowess? Oh, well, I'm dead in any case, so do what you will, everyone! But at least consider yourselves warned.
|
Just a few sages... C'tis knows about them since the very beggining - I am so
peaceful that I keep my main research facilities in a border province.

Oh, do not be such an alarmist... relax, everything is under control.
Quote:
Oh yeah, if someone wants gems, give a shout. I won't be needing them where I'm headed.
|
Oh, I can use some. What would you like in exchange?
Come on, seriouly, can say I have posted even one tiny lie here? The accusation
that you are working for Pangaea was just a figure of speach, and everything else
is the naked truth!

Damn! Did Legacyspy rat me out, or was it Cainehill? 'Cause they are the only ones who should know about my pact with all the various Pangaeas Nappa left behind! (He had plenty.)
I see quite a few untruths here, let me pick them out:
Quote:
And you do not suck - I lifted the siege from the capital only this turn, and
didn't even kill anyone.
|
I do too! Why else could you utterly destroy me in ~3 turns? And it's my capital we're talking about, so it's hardly assuring that you both own it, and have lifted my 'siege.'
Quote:
Well, did I ask to be attacked (without a warning, again) by the main army of
Vanheim? I watched them wipe out the flower of Ermor's mages, of course I was
going to defend myself. I got lucky, is all...

Luck has nothing to do with it. I'm sure it was pure, mad skillz that must have made you bring the most suitable dudes to welcome Patrick's entourage. Poor Patrick, being devastated on turn one of his valiant rescue attempt. And when I say rescue, I mean rescuing the world from the cruel overlord, peeps! And when I say attempt, I really mean the saddest failure since the foolhardy 'defense of Jotunheim.'
Quote:
Oh, come on... you are just flattering me. I am sure that C'tis and Man have
more pressing concerns than a peaceful nation like Abysia that is struggling
with two powerful opponents.
|
Now, I can't say for sure that it's a lie that you are sure that C'tis and Man have better things to do than try to stop you, but I think you are not sure that it is so. In fact, I wager if you gave it thought (as I'm sure you have), you'd conclude that from their respective points of view Man and C'tis couldn't do anything more worthwhile if their goal was victory.
Then to tackle the two powerful opponents claim. Who are they? 'Cause as far as I know you are facing me, who suck beyond reasonable doubt, and Van, whose main force you half converted and half killed. So where's the power?
Oh, and to conclude the dissection: Since I'm neither insincere nor excessive, how is it flattery?
Quote:
relax, everything is under control.
|
This can't be true! If it were, you wouldn't need to dispute my claims. And how can I relax if everything is under your control?
There is no use denying the truth, for the nations of the world shall not stand idly by while you subjugate us one by one! Justice shall prevail, since already the lizards and the men are riding with haste towards you capital! Oh, and isn't it conclusive proof that you are evil, that you've had three consecutive independent uprisings in as many turns?

Glad to hear it.
I made the change last night, not having heard any objections.
