Re: Potential Map
No. But here is the deal, no more false promises.
On Sunday, I will devote a good chunk of time into fixing the random map. If I don't see satisfactory progress after an hour's worth of work, I'll post here, update everything, and ask Velusion to upload the random map he generated earlier. The one he thought was best.
In short, it doesn't look like we're starting this Saturday. I am now willing to cut corners, rather than completely customize the map (it is my first try, and I should have prepared it first, then organized the game. I've learned my lessons). My original plans included ports, caves, etc. It was way to ambitious.

Re: Potential Map
Well, could you at least upload that map you generated earlier? I'll take it from there. If I don't have to remove provinces, and than reconnect, then the amount of preparation will drop by a factor of ten. And the one you generated already has an acceptable number of sea provinces. So if you could upload it, that would be a big help- even if you don't adjust the mountains or anything, its still going to take me less time to get that ready than the one I working on.

Re: Potential Map
Uhmm.. off the top of my head...
RapidShare.de
megaupload.com
If it's less than 2.5 megabytes, you can use xs.to as well. PNG is a lossless compressed format you can use if the two map formats don't work. They describe the acceptable formats at the bottom of the page.
If 2.5 megabytes is too much, you'll need to zip it and upload to one of those two sites. As well, I think this forum has a fairly large attachment size. You may be able to attach it here.

Re: Potential Map
Ahh... I thought you might want it someplace specific. I'll host it on my site when I get home tonight (at work now).

Re: Potential Map
How about this? It's wraparound, beautiful and about the right size.
