So, FQM deluxe = TDM+FQM already ??

Oh no. It just has the Formations from TDM in it already. It does not have the shipsets or AIs, just the Data file changes. This is why you need to copy the Pictures folder from TDM into FQM Deluxe, but you do not need any data from TDM (as long as you are moving TDM stuff into an FQM folder, of course; if you start with TDM as the base, you have to copy the FQM data folder into it; this is why I recommend using FQM Deluxe as the base).

The reason i have tried to combine them was that i wanted those nasty AIs and more planets in each system - though i dont really like them "radiated" and "machineworld" planet types, couldnt convert their athmosphere for some reason :/

Hmm... the atmospheres should be convertible, unless I forgot to add some entries to SectType.txt... what atmosphere type were you using? If you want to remove them, just open up Data\PlanetSize.txt, scroll to the bottom, and delete the entries for them. You might have to delete entries in SectType.txt as well, though I do not think you need to. This will make it so that you can not use the mod with others in multiplayer, but if it is just for single player, there is no problem in doing so.

There were other changes in TDM as well, weren't there?

Nope. The only data file changes in TDM are additional formations. All of them are in Ultimate Strategies Mod, which is built in to FQM Deluxe. There are no tags added to components. The FQM components file does indeed have those small ringworld components, which is another reason why I said only the FQM Deluxe data folder needs to be used.

No. Adamant has the FQM Deluxe mod incorporated into it. Although, I do suggest you check out Adamant as well. In the SE.net downloads section, the mod is named "Fyron's Quadrant Mod Deluxe", not FQM, so that is why it would not show up in the search. I will add FQM to the description somewhere to get around this problem... anyways, just go to http://fqm.spaceempires.net/ as RD linked to.
