Newbie Questions about experience

Not +1 for killing, but +1 for hitting an enemy. Quick Nataraja with 4 swords of swiftness, Chi Shoes and Stone Bird.

What about hitting with magic?
Single target magic/ranged weapon attack?
Area affect attacks?
Battlefield wide attacks?
Non-damaging attacks?

Leveling up always gives +1 mrl, att, def, and prec. Some levels give str, hp, and enc bonuses. There are 5 levels (and level 0).

Leaders get additional leadership each level, but only normal leadership, not undead or magic.

Something's missing there... how much XP do you need to reach each level?

(I really want to read ceremony's strat guide when it's done...)
