Re: Russian / Ukrainian Camo
???
Green is the basic WP "camo" and two green basic T-72 Icons already exists in the game in icon #1474 and #2261 ( as well as two more in light green at 2672 and 2673 )

I dont like those light green ones, they dont look good, they are too lighty. I cant imagine a tank with such a camo scheme...

Re: Russian / Ukrainian Camo
You do understand that there are limits on how dark an Icon can be before all that " realism" makes them nearly impossible to find on a game map and all the detail that was added simply disappears? 2672 and 2673 are deliberately light. Apparently, Polish equipment must be a similar colour as all the Poles that do Icon work seem to favour it for just about everything. It also shows up on a game map quite nicely. I have also seen Yugoslavian equipment in a similar light green. Icons 1474 and 2261 are darker green . There are, however, new Icons in the patch for some of the earlier T-72's that is a Medium green slightly different than the green that 1474 uses. The game uses a restricted palette that I have changed and adjusted as far as it will go. There once was one choice for green on tanks and that was dark emerald green.

Re: Russian / Ukrainian Camo
Back in what was it, 1998 - when Don was trying to get me onto the project, he sent his camo mods file to me. (I had heard of it but had not got to loading it yet).
Until then you had an "electric" lime green, a mud brown, and a zany electric blue-grey used by the Germans. And that was about it. We had been used to that in SP1, SP2 and SP3.
I loaded the camo mod, and was totally gobsmacked! - needless to say, I got on board the project that evolved into SP2WW2!
Perhaps we should upload a few snapshots of a few units in the original "colour" schemes since maybe some folk never played the game back in 96 or so?.
Nothing against the original colour - when the demo for SP1 came out on a game mag CD I played it for a weekend solid (the demo allowed the WW2 LC, the only restriction I recall was no scenario editor, and that all elevations were ignored - you could shoot through hills ) and it was the nearest thing I had seen to 1/300 models on the PC screen. So I ordered the game from a mail-order firm (It was not available in the shops anywhere) on the Monday.
There is a 256 colour palette, and some of that is removed from play as it is for use as colour cycling items. What Don has managed to do with that restricted palette (and the work he has gone into in refining the set over the years), never fails to amaze me.
Cheers
Andy

Re: Russian / Ukrainian Camo
Im playing this game from begining (started with SP1) I do remember old icons for SP2 those new are light years away.Im not telling that Dons work isnt perfect, i just dont like those T-72 icons (2672,2673) becouse they looks too flat, and this light color is too glowy. What about add some cammo, to make them look more like those icons for PT-91? But if that will delay a patch, then forget about it,i will replace those icons in mobhack editor with others avaiable...
keep up good work!

As I said...."There are, however, new Icons in the patch for some of the earlier T-72's "
And when you install the patch you will find some of them ,co-incidentally, in the Slovakian OOB
