Hail for the n00b! Welcome here!

To play a scenario, copy the posted files to the "Scenarios" folder of your WinSPMBT install. There should be at least 2 files named spscnxyz.cmt, .dat and .txt. The "xyz" stands for 3 figures which give the scenario number in the in-game scenario list. The .txt file is optional.

the following is only for scenarios using custom game files like this one.
In the case of the present scenario, there are also custom files required for the scenario to work, and these are already in their folders copy the .lbm files into your "WinSPMBT\Game Data\Pictures" folder, and the .obf files into "WinSPMBT\Game Data\OOBs\Custom OOBs".

Once this is done, open the game options screen, go to the "utilities" tab, hit "manage OOB sets", then in the selector hit "pick custom OOB set", select the "obat068.obf" that should show up then hit "install".
Here end the guidelines for loading up custom files.

Once you're done, you can open the game proper, scroll the scenario list until you find the number 190 "The infamous Wadi Salouki", click on the name, hit "start", and you're gone.

If you need further help on how to play a scenario, better turn towards the game manual.

Enjoy!

I followed the instructions above and I get the message when I click on scenario 190 The infamous Wadi Salouki 8/06 and press start.

"Save game failed to load"

any idea what I'm doing wrong.

Thanks
Scott

@Merk issue, I'll try to dig out relevant threads from Tank-Net, but it seems israel now fields 3 active Tank Brigades, one with Merk IV, one with Merk III and one with Merk II (presumably atleast some uparmored as they appeared in the Lebanon war footage) and Reserve units (atleast those likely to get mobillised for things like Lebanon affair, not for all-out war with say Syria) do also already use Merkava's, so Mag'Ach's etc. are not likely.
As for the losses, most serious were due to IED's, as the massive IED's used by Hezbollah seem to cause most losses per tank.

Ah, here it is, this post is rather informative, linking two articles.
TankNet post

As for Kornets etc., I got impression appearance of top-notch weapons (Kornets, RPG-29) was rather rare and most of missiles were Saggers or comparable, most likely also the Iranian Sagger clones. In the same manner, most of RPG's were RPG-7V with equivalents of PG-7VM. Such weapons definitely formed bulk of captured weapon caches shown on displays. Not confirmed, but RUMINT tells that significant number of dead / injured Israeli tankers were unbuttoned at the time of hit and were hit by splinters/blast.
