Re: Time for another touchy- feely get-to-know-you thread.
I go through about a gallon of tap water per day, chilled in pLastic jugs in the refrigerator. Some Diet Coke, mainly when I need caffein. When I eat out, various root beers, ginger ale, Mountain Dew (when I really need caffein), or Hawaiian Punch.
I only drink alcohol socially, and being such a hermit, I haven't had any since '93. I prefer red wine to white, sweet to dry. I like vodka screwdrivers, rum and coke, sloe gin fizz, and sangria. I don't like beer, and haven't drank it since I was a college freshman.

Just sugar and tea. The difference is that the sugar is added while the tea is made (brew and steep the tea, pour the steep over sugar in a pitcher, mix well, add water to desired strength, chill), as opposed to unsweetened tea, where the sugar is added AFTER the tea has been brewed, diluted, and chilled.
It may seem like a minor quibble, but it makes all the difference in the world!

Re: Time for another touchy- feely get-to-know-you thread.
Non-alcohoic:
-water (tap water kept in the fridge)
-Seagrams Ginger Ale, the best ginger ale ever made. I love this stuff.
-Surge (rarely)
-Orange and cranberry juice, whenever I'm thirsty, don't have any cold water ready, and don't want to waste a precious can of Seagrams.
Alcoholic:
-I LOVE white wine. Especially Johannesburg Reisling and Fume Blanc.
-If I go to a party (rare), I'll have whatever beer is available (nobody ever has wine). I only drink beer to loosen up so I can mingle and dance with hot females. If there aren't any, I won't drink. Well, in the future at least. I had 6 cans of beer at my High School graduation in June and did NOT feel good the next day.

Re: Time for another touchy- feely get-to-know-you thread.
I've never developed a taste for alcohol (I think I learned to hate alcohol from when my mother would give me whiskey and honey when I had breathing problems as a child) so I always drink non-alcoholic beverages.
I drink way to much caffeinated pop at work, mostly generic diet, just to stay awake. Doesn't taste too great, but it's better than nothing when the brain is trying to shut down at about two in the afternoon.
At home, mostly water and milk, sports drinks and some pop. When the temp passes 110 F, it doesn't matter as long as it's cold and wet.

Re: Time for another touchy- feely get-to-know-you thread.
Hey Noble...I thought the idea was that the number of hot females at a party was directly proportional to the number of beers drunk...so the only way there would not be any hot females at a party would be either you ran out of beer or all the females left
Anyways..number #1 drink for me is the sweet tea...southern style. I agree these people up north have no clue on what good tea is. If that isn't available...I guess it has to be Pepsi, and not the lead free stuff either.
My dad would never drink water, it was a quart of corn whiskey a day or coffee. He would say if a nail could rust in a cup of water, just think what it's doing to your stomach...never said he was too bright but he did live to almost 80 yo.

Re: Time for another touchy- feely get-to-know-you thread.
Well being Australian I drink lots of Australian beers like Tooheys Extra Dry and Crown Lager. (Fosters is 'Export' quality, we don't touch the stuff here).
On a recent trip to Bali I drank lots of the local brew, an exceptional pilsener called Bintang. At $1AUD the price was damn excellent (thats about $0.50USD) too.
If I'm up for a big night a drink lots of Scotch (mixed with dry ginger ale) and Russians (Vodka + Kahlua with either Coke or milk). The Russians will screw with my brain but the scotch I'll drink til 4am and still be fine (although I will wake up really drunk the next afternoon).
If I'm coming back from overseas I'll get a litre of better scotch (21 years Chivas or Johnny Walker Blue) and I'll drink that at home with ice.
At work I'll drink the boss's prefered choice of VB (cause he fills up the fridge with em). VB is probabaly the Australian baseline beer.
So there's my brief summary of what I drink.
Cheers,
Askan

Lots and lots of extra-strong cappachino's. That's my way of surviving university.
