It seems that you have experienced something that I have not. I've never had any problem with them. However my enemy has had LOTS of problems with them.

And this is rapidly going away from the thread title.

Please limit yourselves to replies that are on-topic with the thread, and do not drift.

Anybody played LC vs Japanese? Is there any Japanese aircrafts? I am also planning a LC as USMC. Don't know whether AAA should be included in core.

Yes, Japanese Aircraft do show up and as with other battles against Axis Forces this becomes less frequent as time goes on.

At what point in the game time line (month/year) do the Japanese and Nazis stop having decent air cover? I almost never get air support in the spring of '45. I'm just asking in case the game time line is different.

For the ETO, Off the top of head exact dates escape me. However, the game does pretty much follow the historical norms in this regard. So a little research will give you the dates roughly when to expect Axis Airstrikes to drop off. They will not disappear even in April 45 or later. Just the odds will be much greater for them happening. As for the PTO, I only dabble in there on occassion, I'm sure someone could tell you how the late days of the War work out here, something tells me though it is much the same.

My guys scurry for cover when they have a man down. Their guys take 1-2 casualties and shoot back anyways. Plus, they don't seem to disperse, however badly shot up they are.

It doesn't help that two thirds of my armour bogged down in the swamps.
Using flame tanks is a good idea against any infantry heavy opponent, the Japanese especially because it will make even the bravest samurai rout. Just make sure not to have any AFVs or infantry in the the hex adjacent to the hex you are nuking.

Andrew, that's good advice, but in the aluetions heavy armour is no good there.
They will almost always get stuck.
Halftracks and even jeeps i've tried them all maybe you might get a few through by playing a mouse maze thing which will drive you nuts!
Walkers only..is the best way i've found if you dare to go there.
BTW,did i mention? i hate the aluetions

Yep, your right on the aluetions if your very careful and have epic luck you can get half way across the map and not a hex further
A stuck flame tank is just as worthless as stuck cannon tank. Except if your in the mood for pillboxes

Depending on vision you can still use the tanks for long range support fire, they have that useful American thing called the "Ma Duce"
