Haha yeah, the best way to change a tanker's attitude is to put them in front of any kind of obstacle (say a river) then they remember there are other guys around who are useful.

Long time since I've been here...

I am guilty of creating those scenario series .

The map is as I find a typical Germany country terrain. There are several versions of the same Cold-War situation. A Tank division had mostly tanks so I maintained the same ratio.

Mobhack has excellently summed up how to fight as Russians against US.

I would only add the following (SPOILER ALERT):
-Check your air assets. There are some wild weasel planes, use them to scout the US air defense.
-Neutralize with Artillery+planes the air defenses detected.
-Send in the rest of your planes to soften up US resistance and scout their layout.
-Keep up the artillery pressure.
-Carefully start using the helicopters after you knocked out most of US air defense
-Proceed with land forces as Mobhack implied.
-Be ready for taking losses .

@Artur: Hello to you my friend and thanks for the excellent scenarios you've made.Though I've finished the scenario with a marginal victory with about 400+ men and 100 AFVs lost (the filthy capitalists lost about 900 men and 75 AFVs), your points will be considereed for future games with the Soviet army (some of them have been already used like the massive use of artillery, especially around victory points). I also liked the 1946 scenario, although there is no contest there, Soviets just sweep their opposition very easily (thanks to the almost invurnerable JS-3s...)
