Re: New IP
Oh, btw, now might be a good time to ask:
I'm convinced you've won this game (have been forquite a while, actually), so if you're loosing intrest/lack time/prefer to concentrate on other games/have trouble picking back up after the long break/... I'd be more than happy to concede. If you prefer to find out what fiendish tricks I have in store to delay the inevitable we can play on a bit.

Re: New IP
Hard choice really. I do belive the game will hard or impossible to turn for you. My awsome gem income with all the badasses as you describe them will continue to inflict pain for sure (water queens, air queens more seraphs etc). Also I have rather large armies finishing jomon/arco and are heading your way.
As to continuing - I do find the game fun, simply to play around with ideas and end game spells (im lvl 9 in all schools). On the same time, school, other games etc eats at my time as well so I would be fine with just ending it here. What is your preference ?.
Tricks up your sleeve? let me guess, AC ?

Oh, I didn't mean anything specific when I said that, just that I could do my best to hurt you.
Having said that, AC obviously is a nice spell. In fact, I was on my way to cast it when Burden of Time killed the only mage I had with a ring of wizardry (which I need to cast it with my warlocks), and by the time I had dispelled it (using up all my astral (and many non-astral) gems in the proces, so I had to wait a bit to forge a new ring), you had put the nexus up. At this point it won't save me anymore, as you'll just dispel it - with my bloodhunters being capital only - and the fact that I have to keep a decent number of them with my armies since it's the only thing I have that can kill your seraphs (and they obviously need a nice supply of slaves too) - my blood income just isn't big enough. In short: I'm dead.
As for my preference, I'm a bit in the same situation as you, it is indeed fun to try to find ways to hurt/delay/annoy you, and it certainly taught me to appreciate the power of blood magic. (first time in either SP or MP I use it extensively, and never came up against it before), but on the other hand I could start up a new game and discover a new race and new oponents, instead of fighting a lost war. All in all I have maybe a very slight preference for calling it a day, but if you prefer to keep going a few turns, I'll be happy to be a thorny punching bag for you.

Re: New IP
In that case, gogo to the hall of fame thread.
Thanks for the hosting Wazoo, and Bob, if you're still following this: damn good war that was against you too. You made me sweat. (and to make an Abysian sweat you need to turn the heat up really high.)

Thanks, high praise indeed.
This game had alot of good players in it. I very much enjoyed playing MA Ermor and being at war from turn 10 till my end.
Conqratulations Evilhomer and thanks to Wazoo for being a very, very considerate host. I like hosts who make sure all the players get there turns in.

Re: New IP
Lucky me that i didn't throw in the towel when everyone thought abysia had the game . At that point I actually belived I was winning to be honest (having many clams, lvl 9 in most magics, great gem income etc).Anyway great fighting amhazair, im going to keep my eyes on you in games ahead - especially when you border me with dangerous blesses you make me nervous . And thanks again to the host, you made sure we got to see this one out till the end.

Re: New IP
Well, as I said at that time:
Quote:
I've been convinced that Oceania was the strongest nation in the game for ages now (actually since you/Ermor started loosing ground to the Marignon/Mictlan alliance), and what I've seen of their war with Shuniyama hasn't done anything to change that.
Besides... No mere humans are capable of withstanding the Abysian fire... but tell me, what am I to do when faced with water?
|
I've never actually believed I really had a shot at winning this game, and while I was stronger than I thought I was (it's all in the blood baby, all in the blood ) it wasn't quite strong enough. Well played Homer.
And stop being so strong so fast in game(s) where I border you with dangerous blesses... I'm supposed to be confident enough to rush you before you get your magic going instead of agreeing to long term NAP's.

Ah, we were pretty equal at the time, you were just afraid of my pretender showing up as a seraph or something .
