Hmm, 5 gems for killing a third of a province's population? Volcanic eruption seems a bit underpriced in CBM. Oh well, I'll just have to raid your provinces more so you can make up for my revenue shortfall.

BTW, nice work with the mind burning/soul slaying communions. I'm disappointed my MR 25 thug didn't last longer.

Your raiding has been excellent, Valerius. Its driven me nuts and totally kept me on the defensive.

Volcanic eruptions a difficult spell, overpriced in vanilla (so no one casts it) and probably a bit too cheap in CBM. Difficult thing balance.

Thanks. Astral magic is probably my only chance vs you. If it makes you feel any better, I remember at least two of my previous gods with MR 26 and MR 28 going down to early soul slays.

Thanks. If it wasn't for raiding you would have marched straight to my capitol, since I was in no shape to fight again immediately after battling Van. Though I had to be real careful of my thugs initially since most did not have gear to get them to FR 100.

Yeah, I agree that 15 gems is too much. They should maybe cost a little more than 5 gems. OTOH, I agree with your assessment of Machaka earlier in the thread and it can use all the help it can get.

Curse those lizard shaman. You know, that brings up an interesting point: with the exception of those lizard shaman, you, me and Van fought these wars with only our national mages and whatever our pretenders can bring to the table. That's kind of different - usually one of us would have found some useful indie mages.

Ugh. This is the thing I hate most about sending out thugs. But like you say, at least I don't have to worry about the equipment being used against me the next turn, like I did with Van.

Well, I had a dome up - just not stacked ones. That stopped the first two attacks, anyway. Machaka hit me with a total of 12 last turn. Nothing this turn, though. Thanks for the break, Meglobob!

You know, the sad thing about fighting humans is that its so much less glorious. "HAHA i just incinerated 200......phalangites......" much less epic. especially since Bandar killed all the elephants.
