Re: Momentum 2 - Running
Ouch, what bad luck for Ctis in that battle. If only he had someone to cast storm (or at least some bodyguards with marshmasters who cast those BEs).

Re: Momentum 2 - Running
Yeah, I did get lucky there. I wouldn't have stormed those forts without seeing what was inside if I didn't feel rushed by the fact that in a couple of turns I think my luck in this game will run out.
BTW, Pan's poaching of C'tis' lands has been noted.

Re: Momentum 2 - Running
Those lands have been poached from Pyth, when I was fighting him. They should have belonged to me in the first place. I didn't mind Ctis holding them temporarily too much, but I wouldn't like to see them in your hands as a base of operations against me.

Re: Momentum 2 - Running
I'll need extra time for this turn so I've postponed hosting until 5:25 GMT Monday.

Re: Momentum 2 - Running
Sorry, but I'm going to need to postpone hosting once again. I thought I'd be able to get to the turn this weekend but that now looks unlikely. With war beginning it obviously would not be a good time for me to just submit a rushed turn. New hosting time is 9:00 GMT Tuesday.

Val must be preparing a devastating move to crush all opposition on the first turn of war.

Re: Momentum 2 - Running
I'm sure it will be glorious, particularly since the one Ice Devil of his that I was tracking has given me the slip.
Now, as Valerius already knows, I'm looking for a sub for this game. A small part of it is that I've had less time to work out my turns, yet this hasn't been too much of an issue. At the very worse it's caused me lose focus on several key turns. Yet, that isn't really the reason for my departure.
Valerius, you've made a really good game and I really enjoyed it for a while. Psycho, your name is very fitting. Ever since I started my war against Pangaea, I've been pelted with numerous private messages. Multiple times a turn I've had to read about how the war would only be a waste of resources and about how other nations will be getting ahead of us. The constant whining has, to date, been the worse attack in a game of dominions that I have yet had to suffer. I'd hate to say it, but I was brow beaten into making peace. Knowing full well that Pangaea was actually in a good position and rightfully should be a target, I still decided to give up in hopes that he'd shut up. However, this has not been the case and this particular game has no way of being fun for me anymore. I see no reason to play a game that isn't fun. I'm not doing what I think should actually be done and I've made a promise to continue that course of action. I greatly apologize for this and I'll do what I can to find someone willing to play as Mictlan.
Thanks and good luck.

Well, that's not quite true. I've made three attempts at making peace with you - once when you declared, then after I defeated your sieging army and finally the third time when you accepted. I have started spamming you with PMs lately trying to get you to coordinate against Vanheim, but mostly ran into a wall of silence, which was very odd. It seems that the no-diplomacy type of game would be more fitting for you. I am used to doing a lot of PM communication in games and nobody complained before (I sent a lot more PMs to Van then to you). I hope I haven't been boring other people too.
Still, hasn't everything I said turned out exactly that way? We've had a stalemate for 15 turns, which ended in me gaining one castle and you gaining nothing. In the meantime, Vanheim grew double in power and gobbled up Ctis with the help of Eriu.
I am sorry about the way you feel about this game. If you wanted to continue our war, then why didn't you? I can't understand this. I thought you realized, like I did, that Vanheim was running away with the game.
Finally, I want to say that you've been a very good opponent and that you inspired me to want to play Ma Mictlan and I hope to try a similar build in my next MA game. Again, sorry I ruined this game for you.

Re: Momentum 2 - Running
AOE, sorry to see you go. Thanks for playing. I thought you and Psycho were very well matched. To be honest I thought your war might go on a long time ... and I was hoping it would. If one of you had wrapped things up quickly I thought I'd be in trouble, even with GoNB. Of course both of you allying against me was even worse.
I can't argue with the logic of the two of you making peace and attacking me. The only arguments I can make against it are that Van is not a late game power and, even more so, I am not a good late game player since my hatred of micromanagement overcomes my desire to win. I will also say that I agree with AOE that Pan is a real threat and taking me out may only mean that he is handed the crown.
Oh one other thing, AOE. I don't know as much about your strategies as Psycho but I know you were using an E9 bless. I really liked that and don't think I've seen it before on Mictlan. It turned out to have a nice synergy with those indie pegasus riders.
AOE has already posted in the "games seeking a sub" thread but I'll add a post to the forum as well.
Psycho, I'm afraid I don't have any great plans for the war. I just have had no time the past few days to work on my turn. I'm too tired to work on it now but tomorrow I'll try come up with something to slow you down.

Re: Momentum 2 - Running
There was no turn from Mictlan a half hour before hosting so I postponed hosting. Will also bump the sub thread.
