Re: Pythium
Ok. I'm still very hesitant to go to a timer without at least some contact from K, especially since I'm losing a war with him.
But, we have to move sometime.
I'll start the timer tonight, unless anyone objects. That'll give him until Monday if he's not checking the board over the weekend.
I'll still be pretty liberal about pausing the timer if someone asks, so just let me know.

Re: Pythium
I have no problem with pausing a game for a couple days when a player has family in town or something, but this is ridiculous. I have learned one thing from it. I will never play another of these without at least a 48 hour timer. I have all but lost all interest in this game.

Re: Pythium
Yeah, me to.
I would have definitely gone AI a while ago (even before my own extended hiatus), if not for the fact that this was my first opportunity to play R'lyeh in Dom3. I have been working on some fairly interesting strategies that I am curious to see played out. But the waiting is killing me, and making me forget some of my devious plans.

Re: Pythium
It's a shame. The first vfb no-timer game I was in went really well. No major delays at all.
I'm not sure why this one fell apart. It had more players and has lasted longer, which probably has a lot to do with it.
Hopefully the timer will get us back on track and revive interest. (And let K kill us all faster...)

Yeah....K is unbeatable. He is definitely the best I have been around.

Re: Pythium
I'll need to a sub for the next turn. Law school obligations.
Good game everyone.

Re: Pythium
K, do you just want a sub for one turn or are you out starting next turn?
If it's just one turn, I'd rather delay, unless you have a sub in mind.

Re: Pythium
Sorry, but it looks like I'm out for good. The demands of law school are such that Dom III turns are causing me stress, and not relieving it.

Re: Pythium
OK, I was afraid of that. It's been a good game.
So, what do the rest of you want to do? We can try to find a sub, or just declare K the winner.
From Jotunheim's point of view, Bandar Log is definitely dominant. It seems wrong to let someone else take what K has built up and win with it.
But if others want to continue, I'm willing to find a sub and play it out. It'll mean another delay though.
