Re: Placeholder for new Megagame - Evermore
Ok, I'm confused. I DL'd the map a couple days ago, and just tried to DL my first turn a couple minutes ago. I got a message, something like "This may take a few minutes." I left the PC for a couple of minutes and had a failure message with the option to retry when I got back. Do I need to re DL the map?

Re: Placeholder for new Megagame - Evermore
Ubercat - What was the message?
If it was a "bad packet" message that means you probably want to download the map seperately and put it in your maps folder.
The first day is always hard on connections as the map download is bandwidth intensive.
I *highly* recommend everyone download the map from the external link rather than through the game:

The final message was
Connection failed
The Dominions server or your connection to the internet might be down. Also make sure you entered the correct ip-address (address) and port number (number)
retry
cancel

Re: Placeholder for new Megagame - Evermore
Give it a little while and try again. I could get in fine when I checked 10 minutes ago.

Re: Placeholder for new Megagame - Evermore
Well, I have right port now, but I just get "waiting for game info". Tried it twice now, and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Someone may be getting the map. I guess I'll just try again in the morning.

Re: Placeholder for new Megagame - Evermore
I've tried repeatedly for a while now. No dice. When is the first turn due to tick?

Are you sure you are using the new port number: 10020?
The status page is up and lists the due time:
