How dual shields are commulative with snake ring?

How are they not? They keep you alive and the snake ring lets you cast a touch spell.

Gloves and the ring aren't cumulative, since you'll either be casting or attacking.

using item spells doesn't use fatigue does it?

If not then the duel-shield + snake ring combo might be a niche way of killing the occasional SC that doesn't have poison-r.

All item spells cause 5 fatigue per cast.

Perhaps, but doesn't the spell also require a successful touch roll?
