They're "error" units not listed in the encyclopedia. {After getting rid of the smoke now I don't see the units, only a USMC flag.) The plan was to land them together, load the team{s} on the LSV{'s) and high-tail it inland while the LCM('s) go{es) upriver (along with the Naval escorts). What to do? Thanks.

If there already a unit in the LSV?
Are you using the alternate USMC OOB that came with the scenario? If not you'll get the sorts of errors you mentioned.

Re: Scenario - Beachhead Taiwan
Those areas probably were clear when you checked them. PRC reinforcements almost always arrive at the map edges then advance toward what they consider key locations.
And just think, a few turns ago you were complaining you were bored

Re: Scenario - Beachhead Taiwan
Turn 30- One third done. Wondering where the fresh PRC troops might arrive. Seem to be handling it so far,was a little worried when all that armor showed up and I didn't have much in position. The patriot battery was very effective removing the PRC gunships.
Here the latest save game attached.

Question- If you land an osprey with troops inside next to an ammo supply, would the troops inside get supplied as well?

Nope, they have to disembark.
By-the-way, land on the ammo supply, they'll resupply twice as fast.

Re: Scenario - Beachhead Taiwan
Turn 35- Quite a battle, more PRC units are sneaking onto the map,and causing trouble. There is a large group of PRC tanks approaching the city from the southwest. **See screenshot.
My gunships are being hindered by a lot of flack.
Also included the latest save game.

No one ever said the PRC was foolish, they know Americans, especially Marines, use a lot of air support.

Re: Scenario - Beachhead Taiwan
Turn 39- I brought in some air power as you suggested, and for the most part it was effective. However I have made some mistakes that
have cost me the loss of USMC units. Forgetting about certain things for example and then enemy arty is raining on it.
A direct hit sunk one of the barges. Maybe I'm just going to fast, but I wanted to test as much as possible.
On the other hand I am on Chinese territory,so a price would be paid by any invader. I'll have to postpone any further testing,as I have to move in a week, and at this point there is no destination.
The map is nice but seems like could use a little work, where some hexes are not correct.
The screen shot shows the PRC tank graveyard SW corner of city, and of course the latest save game.

Re: Scenario - Beachhead Taiwan
Revised Scenario.
Fixes to the map (there were some terrain problems).
A few alterations to the Chinese.
Revised Scenario #356 included AND a copy of what should be the 2016 USMC OOB (required for the MARSOC units not in the current OOB).
