Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
Hey guys! Martok's the name--although what gave a gamer nerd like myself the presumptive arrogance to name myself after a Klingon general, I can't imagine. (It's very possible I was drunk at the time!) I play mostly turn-based strategy games (Galactic Civilizations 2 and Medieval Total War being my two current favorites), along with the occasional RTS and RPG. I registerd here quite some time ago, but this is my first post.
I've been keeping half an eye on Dominions 3 for some time now, but it's only recently that the game has started to get my attention again. In my quest for a decent fantasy TBS game, I've tried a few of the more mainstream titles (AoW 1 & 2, Disciples 2, Warlords 4, etc.), but nothing has really satisfied my craving thus far.
I realize that I'm probably not going to get a completely unbiased opinion about the game on a forum dedicated to it ( ), but I would still like to know if this is a title you guys would recommend. I'm going to check the demo, of course (I'm downloading it as I type this); but I would still appreciate your input just the same!
P.S. - If there's a specific thread in which I should be asking this question, please feel free to direct me to it! I just couldn't find any other place I should post this in the first 5-6 pages of looking.

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
welcome horny Americans and Klingon generals!
Martok, I think most of us are honest enough to say that No: Dom3 isn't perfect, but Yes: it is the best turn based fantasy strategy game that money or love can buy. To go into the myriad reasons for both opinions, you have only to look as far as this forum.
DominionDay, sorry, I'm married, but thank you for the offer, I take it as a compliment.

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
Hi, Gilded here. I'm from Finland and been playing since Dom2 (although back then I really didn't grasp the game and got owned by the AI repeatedly). I had a long break but now that Dom3 has come out I've started playing again. Happy holidays to everyone!

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
Hello forum-goers of all varieties, 24 years old Montanan here, glad to be joining the community. I just discovered the Dominions series, and after 2 weeks of playing, I'm glad to say I've finally found the spiritual successor to master of magic. Forging items...undead Romans...god-killing...Norse mythology...drool....

South Carolina? Is that somewhere near StarCraft?

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
Hallo folks. I've been lurking the forum for a couple of days before coughing up the energy to register. Looking forward to some hot MP action.
