Re: Standards - MA Game (running)
Alright, there seems to be only four players still interested in turning in their orders. Traks, 46852, JimMorrison, and I. It seems that the players for Ashdod and Ulm aren't interested in playing anymore. One nation has had a sub already.
I'm half tempted to place both nations on AI. I'm not up to the task of asking for another sub. I also feel that we all want this game to end one way or the other. I'm very invested in the game, but could easily dismiss it if the other players wanted to move onto fresh new games. For me, it is honestly no fun to attack people who don't fight back.
Here are the options:
1) I find new subs for Ulm and Ashdod. Then we stagger along until I win.
2) I set to AI Ulm and Ashdod. I declare war on every remaining nation and eventually win the game.
3) We declare peace and we all move onto a new game. We could of course agree that I won, but I'll accept a tie as a common courtesy.

Re: Standards - MA Game (running)
Man..... I gotta say, I thought originally that I was flat out -screwed- in this game. Started right in the center, got hemmed in on all sides, had a sub-par income, and few attractive options. After a long research hiatus (go go Magic3!) I was ready to roll, and wow..... I've never had so much fun playing Caelum, and the nation is doing great now.
That said..... well, I will be bummed if the game ends, but setting Ashdod to AI will certainly bend me over, with such a long border between our nations.
So, I vote for 1, but if it's too hard to find a sub, I would sadly vote for 3.

Re: Standards - MA Game (running)
Hmmm... I was kind of hoping for more imput then just what Jim thinks. Thanks Jim by the way.
I wasn't around to delay the turn and it seems that Ulm set them selves to AI. When I get done with work today I'll see if I can find a sub for Ashdod.
Also, I declare war on Caelum. Alright Jim, its rematch time. That should make things interesting once again.

But I grew up with the impression that my opinion is the only one that matters. That's how we roll here in America.
But that is all irrelevant in the face of a war declaration. Caelum is appalled, and aghast, and maybe even akimbo towards this unexpected turn of events. We will call 51 the first turn of notice on our NAP then (we did have a NAP....?), and thus 53 is final turn of notice, and turn 54 borders may begin to shift.
Apparently the 900 lb gorilla that was Ashdod, has been replaced by a couple of poo-flinging 150 lb chimpanzees.
Let us see what lives in this tangled web. And let us pray that we can find a sub for Ashdod, so this game can have a proper climax from our menage-a-seis, if you will.

I might consider joining as Ashod, But I will be gone next summer mining gold. Late spring to be truthful.

This game should be well past over by then. I would also welcome the idea of playing against a player with more experience then the last guy.

Re: Standards - MA Game (running)
Well, I wish to consult with the fine nation of Calem. And others if they wish. I have played Ashod before and will consider any diplomatic overtures.
PS. I Have gotten the files and all seems okay. Boy are you gonna be suprised at the next turn. Heh.

Re: Standards - MA Game (running)
I'm ready to send my turn in. Before I do so, I wish to purchase death gems. I will pay 10 gold for each death gem. Also I want some items, I will pay 10 gold per gem cost of the items. I could use just about anything that comes from construction 6 and above.
