Well, I am not very experienced but I do not think (and I expect) that you cannot do anything to restore any chance.
War against you was very tough for me, I have taken much time to find solutions to counter what you were doing. I am sure that you lost for a big part because of the weakness of Ulm, and the limited possibilities of this nation (Vanheim on the opposite has much more options, actually for a mediocre player like me).

I would like to add that its possible to find enjoyment and find reason in fighting with very little chances to win, and there are also legit reasons to stop playing. I dont intend to persuade u to play along (or go ai), after this one try: I prefer u playing, i found ur presence added (and adds) a lot to this game, and personaly I'd rather play with u still at the helm of Ulm. So I wont be any upset if u leave, and it will add to my happiness if u stay.

OK, you convinced me. I'll fight until dead :-)
It's might be fun to see how turns I can survive

Re: Great Forum, game running
Please do not evade or make everything possible to make a few soldiers surviving anywhere. You will for sure be able to survive for a while, that might be fun for you, that will not be the same for me to try to catch some remnants like an eel.
I can imagine what the hell it could be... Please defend yourself but do not make the end of my game horrible.

Re: Great Forum, game running
I dont think its possible to make it "horrible" on this small map. A pretender even drops out if it doesnt have dominion for instance, but there are other reasons to it too.
but i understand it would have been much easier for u if he had just given up

Re: Great Forum, game running
I do not ask for make it easier.
An AI or a good player cannot do anything to avoid complete defeat in very few turns.
But it is very simple in Dom3 to survive with very few troops, hero, thug, with stealth and the efficiency of avoiding moves (I can easily imagine that because I have taken much advantage of it against Arnob).
And I am not experienced and talented enough to finish a nation which DO want to survive. I do not know how to catch a stealthed powerful thug who is going to appear anywhere.
I only want my nerves staying alive, that is all. Althought Arnob has already admitted he has lost, he can make my game a nightmare with almost nothing left, I am afraid that would be easy.
Anyway, you probably know what I mean.
Maybe I am wrong, maybe it is impossible to stay alive with one province and a commander, but I am scared by the words "how many turns I can survive ?".

Re: Great Forum, game running
i am curious of others/experts opinion on how surviving for long time is easy. My personal view is that although its easy to prolonge final defeats for some turns, a very resilient but severely weakened opponent is not a big factor. A guerrilla attack here and there but thats all. I believe there might be exceptions - special circumstances, very talented opponent - (for instance a fully kitted flying stealthy SC) but its not typical. These thugs are in a constant fleeing mode as whole armies are after them, and the famous saying applies here: "Beware: we have to be lucky only once, but u have to be lucky always".
what do u think?

Re: Great Forum, game running
I do not know. Really. I only want the game challenging, fun and interesting, not boring (Single player, AI), nor annoying. We will see.
