Re: NewbsWithLowSelfEsteem - Year 2: Attack of the Dead
Especially since he is always the last one to take his turn... you'd think he'd have the courtesy to take his next one immediately afterwards so at least we'd only have to wait for him once every other turn instead of every single turn.

I vote for reciprocation, swap him out for a sub now, otherwise he'll just play the line out to achieve maximum grief. We've given him every chance to elaborate but it's pretty clear what he's after at this point.
Etiquette to the polite is etiquette.
Etiquette to the guy ****ing with you is ****ing yourself.

Well swapping him out without talking to him is just rude. Did he reply to any message yet?

No, he hasn't replied to anything yet. He also hasn't been logging into the forums, but if he's griefing as finalgenesis suspects, then he could easily log out and view the forums anonymously.

But are we willing to let him stale again? He's going to get eaten by me and pythium pretty quickly at this rate, which isn't really fair.

Did he stale the last few turns then? I thought he still played his turn, but always took at least the max amount of time. If he is staling, just find a sub.

He didn't stale the last turn, but he did stale the turn before. Looks like he's going to stale this turn.

We talked, a lot, he was even logged onto forum a few days back when we were politely asking for status(in thread and pm).
It's not possible to be polite to someone who is rude, it's called weakness.
We've made more then reasonable queries, the time for more talk is well past, it's time cure this infection before it gets worst.

Re: NewbsWithLowSelfEsteem - Year 2: Attack of the Dead
I've asked gandalf to kill the timer for now while I decide on the next course of action. I'm stuck in a limbo that could accurately be described as between soyweiser's and finalgenesis's opinions on the matter. I really hate to sub someone out when they are still "playing", but on the other hand it is possible he's simply griefing at this point. Or maybe he isn't griefing and this has just snowballed over time with us asking him to play and him avoiding the forums more and blah blah. I honestly can't tell which it is, but I do know (from experience tehe) that a good griefer never leaves the zone of plausible deniability.
