Re: Primordial Cake - [Game In Progress]
Oh, and before I forget (again). Ashix has said that if there is any nation that needs a sub then they would want to stand in. This way they can learn more from seeing how other people play their nations. Its a good idea, in my opinion, for a new players in general.
That said, they subbed for Utgard a turn or so ago and I failed to announce the changeover. My bad.

HoleyDooley is struggling with the odds being stacked against him, which is actually harder to battle because certain statistics are apparently a known factor. There are multiple armies and combatants coming in from multiple angles and thinking with multiple minds. I'm fighting two other nations at the same time in another game, and though I'm larger then both combined, its very time consuming to hash out a plan that doesn't leave me second guessing my moves five minutes later. Even without the second guessing it takes time. A substantial amount of time in fact.
I don't need my players being hounded about their legitimate concerns, especially by those who have no vested interest in the game.
I'm adding 12 hours to the turn cycle to give our players with vast armies (and vast opposition) more time. Please let me know if 60 hours is not enough or if particular turns need more time.

Thanks for adding more time to the clock; my mind was about ready to explode with all craziness over the past couple of turns.
Can we add another 5-hours to the clock? I can only take my turns in the depths of the night in Pacific time, and this will effectively give me another day to scheme properly.

Re: Primordial Cake - [Game In Progress]
I agree with what AoE said about the difficulty of committing to the endgame. I'm in another game (Smiting_Season) as Marignon. I'm very big... I don't have the most provinces, but my armies are huge, full of quality troops, and backed by vast numbers of mages. I have control of all 4 globals currently up, including Arcane Nexus. I'm under attack by Gath and Patala, both of whom are also huge, with huge (though largely inferior) armies. It's turn 84. I've managed to take about 2 turns in the last 3 weeks or so because the amount of time it takes to deal with everything going on is tremendous. The same can be said for the mental energy it takes to script that many mages, deal with that many SCs, and counter that many armies. It's also demoralizing because I'm falling slowly to attrition- I just can't protect as many provinces as I have from as many armies as I'm being attacked with.
I really want to be more active in the game, but I understand where HD is coming from- this game is one of the best I've ever played, ever... but at some point the endgame does become more work than fun.

Re: Primordial Cake - [Game In Progress]
I´ll be on vacation until the 22nd. However Agartha is defeated already,
so please continue. I´ve given all orders for the next turns.
Cheers, Klaus

Before I forget again. Pythium bit the dust finally. Who did it?

Re: Primordial Cake - [Game In Progress]
I think Pythium is still hanging in there, although he's not long for this world.
Any chance I can get a 24-hour extension? I'm out of town this week and won't be back to take a turn until the weekend.
Thanks,

Re: Primordial Cake - [Game In Progress]
I've got a lot going on with holiday time here... my turn is almost done, but I'm going to need another 24 hours. Requesting an extension, please.
