Re: Legends of Faerun - Closed (Game started)
Thanks for subbing in as Host, Calahan. You've done a great job in what I imagine you thought would be an easy gig.
And yes, there have been far too many delays, for a game that people just seem to drop out of randomly. Perhaps the size of it is just overwhelming for some. I would say, in the future, if someone stales two times in a row, just set them to AI. It's the only way to keep this game going.

 Cheers Lingchih
Again I find it hard to disagree with you, this time on the notion of a strict "two stales and out" policy from here on in. Still a long road ahead for this game, and if we want to be finished by Christmas, then it would be useful to avoid further lengthy delays. Christmas 2010 that is!

 @ All

I have not heard back from Chris yet saying whether or not the 12 hours I delayed the game by will be sufficient time for him to get a turn in before the hosting deadline. But I will keep a close eye on the deadline, and if it looks like Sauro are about to stale, I will add a few extra hours. Since Chris did originally ask for a 24 hour delay, and I only gave him half of it with a 12 hour delay in an attempt to get the game moving again. But Chris might well have needed the full 24 hours he asked for, but has not had chance yet to say whether or not just a 12 hour delay was ok or not.

 @ All
Still no word from Chris yet, and no sign of a Sauro turn, so have just added another 6 hours for the reasons indicated in the above post.

Ok everyone, I've just heard from Chris, and it sounds like he is putting the finishing touches to his turn, so won't be needing a further extension.
So this is it folks. No more delays are planned, and the turn will be hosting today at 20:50 llamaserver time. So for the remaining few nations left who still have their turns outstanding, this is your final boarding call to get them in, as the flight is leaving in four and a half hours from now.

Huh, really, 6h notification with 48h timer? Some really stupid joke?
BTW, I am turning my nation AI in few turns. If someone wants, he can convince me to give him my stuff. But so far no one was interested in me helping in his victory.

I'd be really interested in you helping me. No real chance of me winning, mind you = ) |

I can't see how Sauro need any help against the AI Yomi. Especially since there's at least three other nations attacking them.
Pretty sure there are a lot more worthwhile causes out there for the gift-giving Zeldor-Claus and his potential Atlantis goodie-bag, than a nation tag-teaming the AI.

Re: Legends of Faerun - Closed (Game started)
Helping someone else win is weird, anyway. Zeldor, if you want to smite down some great vengeance on the evil empires who have destroyed Atlantis's chances of victory, that's cool, but can't you do that yourself? Or did you just finish that, with the death of C'tis, and you've got no more reason to live?

Zero provinces left, and two stales in a row for Hinnom means I'll find someone to turn them AI. (unless Baalz wants to find someone) |
