You'll have to install receptors in the spared sites first, otherwise the power beamed down from orbit won't be of any use to them.

The phrase "to fire an orbital plasma launcher" means that the plasma launcher fires a cohesive ball of fusing plasma. Think like "to fire a cannon"..... Ah what the heck.

Ahh perhaps Strategia wasn't on his ship. Maybe he was shooting it down from orbit.

Strategia's ships comes screaming down from orbit as an immense fireball. The wrecakge crashes into Narf's hole, scattering walls, cheese and bits of Narf over a wide area.
