I'd suggest re choosing your race and you can then do your turn. Loosing which race you are (which I think you are saying ) - you should have an sf_aran directory in your dom 2 directory with a .turn and .2h file in it. I think this is how it remembers what race you are.
|
Ah, that makes sense now - my filesystem got messed up and I had to reinstall everything, so there *is* no such directory yet!
|
Yep its something to remember if you use different machine to access the turn server. If you submit on one and check/amend on the other you will loose your instructions. The easy solution is to copy the .2h file between the two machines.
Loosing the sf_aran directory is no problem it will recreate it with the appropriate files next time you access - but remeber to check your orders are in place

Re: TCPIP Game - Looking for players
Server just needed a reset - if you had probs getting in, note port has changed to 2013 - which is why I sent new instructions to all players
Players outstanding are:
Ctis
Arco
Ermor

I would say I am no better than "fair" at best, but thanks for the compliment!

Re: TCPIP Game - Looking for players
I have never played multiplayer before, to say that I'm outstanding is a gross overstatement.

Re: TCPIP Game - Looking for players
OK, I got the email, and it said "new turn generated" but when I went to check, there was no new turn... do I need to do anything or are my orders safe?

Re: TCPIP Game - Looking for players
Regarding turns in, if you're not sure i'd suggest checking - the server had an error which stopped it working so I had to reset it. If you have submitted a turn I suspect it will be fine but always worth that check
In terms of connecting are you using port 2013 - which has changed.

Re: TCPIP Game - Looking for players
I find that the email arrives a few to several hours after the actual hosting - so you may have already played the turn.

Re: TCPIP Game - Looking for players
I'm guessing that is an isp problem. The mail server sends direct to the isp's smtp mail. I'm also on the list it sends to and for me its instant - so it could be a yahoo issue.
Waiting on player Arco at the mo.
