Re: Use of Weapons - New MA game (Started)
I'd like to request a 12hr delay... this is probably going to happen regularly on tuesday nights
Shouldnt be for too much longer, I think the winner is going to be either Pythium or Shinuyama now - Jotun's latest desperate gamble to relieve his trapped leaderless army has failed from the looks of the turn I just glanced through.
Hmm... Do you still pay upkeep for them I wonder...?

The timer is now 48h, do you need more than that?

Apologies for the stale - I somehow didn't send the turn correctly before bed.

AI set for Jotun.
Well played all. Jotun's walls crumble under the multinational assult. I did learn a number of things and had a good bit of fun.

Yup, it was mainly due to bad luck that your invasion failed. I think looming hell took out one of your skratti buffers for our first major battle, and well... the second major battle just never took place. I definitely have a newfound respect for blood magic now though!

I knew my only hope was to hit hard and fast. With Drain 3 my uber bless was becoming less and less effective with each passing turn. At some point a bless can be completely countered by a couple mages with a couple gems. In hindsight I should have held off on attacking Abyssia and pressed my feeble research towards "Illwinter".
When I do find my self on the downward spiral I find it is a good time to set small goals and pull out the stops. For fun I actually empowered a Bane Lord with Astral. Even with MR 24 he eventually fell to a soul slay communion. His body guard giants fulfilled their purpose of absorbing the Astral barrage so he could get his MR up. Unfortunately he routed instead of attacking when his fodder died.
I was happy to take out the Angel. Wasn't sure if it was the bone fiends or a lucky shot from the bowmen in the back.

The angels were poorly equiped and scripted, I learned a lesson there. And yes, giant body guards were a good idea but you fell foul of the 75% hp rule, if you had had more similiar banelords I'd have been in trouble.
