Re: Gentlemen's struggle - Intermediate & vets - game's up for pretenders
Well, i'm already dead and will turn my nation AI this turn.
I had my worst starting position, only 2 neighboring provinces (one of them with strong indis)and in a middle of a swamp. Finally himselfbh have sent troops through the sea to siege my cap turn4, cutting the retreat path of my army who has failed against the strong indis, suiciding himself and finishing me at the same time.
This move sounds really noobish to me, you are prolly the next to die after me since you didn't expand .I don't see the point of throwing the game this way, especially since i wasn't even a direct threat to your nation.
Anyway, i'll continue my admin duties unless some1 wants to take the hand on it.

Re: Gentlemen's struggle - Intermediate & vets - (running)
In fact my starting position is just as bad as yours, maybe even worse, only 2 neighboring provinces and both of them seems stronger than your 25pd(with low income..), and that's why I haven't expended yet... At this time I saw your candle on the sea province, so I decided to have a try.
I don't know if you cast Wayward star or just because of my bad luck, something really bad happened in my capital just after I attacked you, or things should be going very well know. And then I can take your provinces and the indies should keep my capital safe for at least one year...
Anyway, I have never played like this before, if I have done sth wrong making this game unpleasant, I apologize. Please forgive my noobish...

Yeah it was a little unpleasant lol. But well, it's the game.
Good luck to the remaining players

I think i should turn myself to AI in a few turns.
Unlucky is just so terrible in cbm that I shall never try unlucky2 again...

I don't think this is accurate... in fact, misfortune is one of the main negative scales that I see experienced player use in CBM. It does have to be considered/managed. It's not just "Free points".
True, you can have truly catastrophic events, but you can get that without Mis-2. In the realm of "random things in Dom 3 that wreck games for me", in game events are well down on the list.

Thank you for the advice. I don't know why but bad events happened in my capital exactly every single turn since turn4. And that keep my income below than about 300 per turn...At the time I reached TS, I could not even afford just one a3 mage to cast it...and I think it's the time to gg, good luck to you all.

It's turn 15 and you have decided you can't win, soooo... Go AI and walk away? That's awful... do you realize that this makes the game worse for everyone?

Re: Gentlemen's struggle - Intermediate & vets - (running)
Actually I have seen hel's troops around my two castles and I don't think I can get through this(you can check my armysize on the graph). So I'm not decide to lose, but I have seen my death. Maybe AI can hold longer than me...
Anyway, I'll fight my last battle.
