Re: Placeholder for new Megagame - Evermore
Next turn EA Caelum will be going AI. EH informed me a during last turn that he was not returning. I am in my max of 2 games already, so last turn and this turn just doing some housecleaning. I never agreed to take on the Eagle Kings permanently. But it was fun while it lasted.
Hat is off to Velusion and Baalz. They are good players and countered everything I tried. If i had started this game, id play to the bitter end to inflict maximum casualties. But I do not view that as my job now that I know the owner is not returning.
Good Luck All.

Re: Placeholder for new Megagame - Evermore
Ouch!
And we have fallen at about the same time, as it turns out. Our once-mighty army stands dea... er... immobile at the feet of the blood-thirsty savages, who have come to drive the light of civilization out of the world.
It is only fitting that I should suffer the consequences of the shortcomings of my own start-location placement. In the future, if you have extra start locations on your map, remove start locations *from the middle* rather than at random!
But I should not overstate the significance of a good starting position - my starting position was not-at-all-bad. But AdmiralZhao exploited his excellent start with superb aplombe. Good luck to the rest of you, you're going to need it.

Re: Placeholder for new Megagame - Evermore
How the heck did I miss a turn? Isn't the turnaround 48 hours? I was gone less than 48 hours and the turn wasn't close to ticking before I left. I thought I'd come back and be the last guy to take his turn.

Oops, My bad! I misread myself as having missed a turn. It was a player adjacent to me in the list.

Re: Placeholder for new Megagame - Evermore
Where once a three legged alliance threatened the empire of Atlantis, now two legs lie shattered and the last begins to groan and strain. The neck of the eagle has been snapped, the back of the monkey demon broken, and the arms of the kraken wrap tightly around Oceana as retribution finally arrives in the bloody waters of the east. Meteors streak through the sky as Kings of the Deep drop deep into Oceanic territory and war lobster feast on the bloated, floating remains of the foolish knights who feebly try to hold the border.
Let all know that the empire of Atlantis claims absolute sovereignty over all lands under the waves. The Starspawn abominations have been driven from this world, the evil Mind Lords exterminated root and stem, and now the Triton Kings will learn the fate of those who would challenge the Throne of the Deep. Heed these words well, the time of Oceana is at an end and any wishing to hold outposts under the waters would do well to petition the Throne of the Deep for friendship.

Re: Placeholder for new Megagame - Evermore
I told you guys. You should have attacked Atlantis while he was attacking me (R'lyeh). We might have driven him back.

Re: Placeholder for new Megagame - Evermore
Sorry L, you guys just were _way_ too far. You can blame devious DrP for placing water nations by hand.
Huh, I never even knew there was some monkey nation attacking Atlantis. Should scout more.

Re: Placeholder for new Megagame - Evermore
Oh ouch. I was feeling sorry for my poor ancient kraken, 20 protection and over 100 regeneration and an inconsiderate 9s 9w sacred statue teleports in and soul slays me. I felt a lot less sorry for myself next fight when I see that statue picked up the lycanthop's amulet from my kraken. She *glared* very angrily at my army. Rough luck Atul...

Re: Placeholder for new Megagame - Evermore
Hey, Velusion picked the map. There weren't that many places to *put* water nations.
