I definitively agree with you (for shipsets available only on this forum). The main problem is to locate each file in the forum !!! if you find one, will you be sure it's the latest Version ?

Re: The List of all Races
I'm trying to contact the authors of the shipsets which cannot be downloaded from the list. I see that three shipsets can be found on a dead site once called "IM".
Whose site is this ?
In the same time, I ask to any shipset author who don't have a site, and don't want his creations to be forgotten at the bottom of a forum thread, to allow me to create a preview and download page for his races on State of the art spaceyards.

Re: The List of all Races
There are a few "Other downloads" in the bottom of Zarix's Mirror of the Image Mod.
The link seems to be working now.
Everybody seems to agree it's ok to post direct links to zips in these forums.
A good way to start this would be checking the download section of these forums and copy all links there, assuming that what was Last posted there is the Last Version.
Thanks Trooper, I'll add your updated links ASAP.
Maybe it would be better if you would keep and update this list in your site.
Having contributed with the initial list maybe it's time I leave and let someone else take charge of this project.

I'm also willing to host a few more sets on my site. I have the Vandron there and of course my own sets, but there's still room for more.

Well, that's a thing I can do. Just tell me when you have finished your updates.
Any info about "IM" ?

It's very popular in France. It comes for a comic TV show where famous persons appears as puppets. Sylvester Stalone's puppet, who always plays the role of the typical american soldier/capitalist/president advisor always start his sentences with that sound... (refering to Rambo films).

The harder thing is to contact authors, many of them seems to have forgotten SE IV. BTW, do you know Shadri Republic ? it's a great 100% neo standard compatible shipset, but it has no preview page.
Fyron : Now that I've spent a few days shearching the forums (and that I've understooden that a huge part of the downloadbale files are on another part of schrapnelgames site), I think I'll be able to find working direct links for the list. But I hope that the coolest shipsets will have a preview page.

Yes, web sites would be good, but that takes a lot of bandwidth for all of those shipsets. If we had a big server to use, I would advocate using Andres' race viewer 2.0 to create a database of the ship sets, but that costs a bit of money. So, it is easier to just link to the files.

The Legion Imperium is called "the legion" on PBW

I'd swear that theis empire type is Imperium, what makes their entire full name The Legion Imperium.
That's a link that Zarix had posted earlier on this thead.
It points to his mirror of the Image Mod, and as I had said, there are a few shipsets labeled as "Other downloads" in the bottom after all image mod downloads.
And it seemed to work quite fine every time I tried.

How much space are we talking about here? My brother has Rogers High Speed, and gets access to 7 E-Mail accounts with 10MB of webspace for each account. I know he's using a few of the address', but, if 30MB would do the trick, I could probably get the space allocated and prepared.
