Perhaps morale changes should show up with different colour in unit stats?

 | I haven't come up with a way to abuse it yet. Low morale alone doesn't cause routs. You have to kill enemies too. Awe-increasing equipment might get used more, now.

EA Pangaea, Lady of Love (she has Awe, N2, W1, Dom3) would also be a good candidate. Can't afford playable scales and dormant with Dominion 10, but that isn't really needed. Buy some Water for defense, forge a Thorn Staff for further +4 from Staff and to get rid of -1 from Fist... [Attack one turn][Tune of Growth][Tune of Fear][Tune of Fear]... Unfortunately, the Amazon Sorceress cast Tangle Vines at her, and without armor she died even with her Awe.

It seems Fear and Awe alone aren't enough. They could make a good creature terrific, though. |

I mean, I thought that the Fear mechanism was esoteric hidden knowledge.
Now we know how it works...

Speaking of Lady of Love...pix plz.

Wow, ten pages over the weekend... thanks for all the screenies, Endo! I should have a nice little pic for all the nations right now. And if I'm lucky, there'll be something nice sitting on my porch when I get home. |

 | Are you sure? I don't think I've posted anything Vanheim/Helheim yet besides the one Jarl, and I'm not sure if I described Master Smith or sent a picture. Or are you sharing pics between eras of the same nation? |

				 Re: Screenies!
I'm cobbling together what I can! By all means feel free to fix/add to the wiki ; I mainly wanted a little pic to describe the nations linking to their specific strategy page. I'm acutally not sure if I have the complete nation list yet. I'll add what I have in the next hour or so; you can check the list of total pictures here . |

 | You posted the Hangadrott, and the Master Smith and EA Smith are both somewhere earlier in the thread.

				 Re: Screenies!
Fear was never the mystery that some claim it was, but I'll admit this new version sounds like it will be easier to understand. I'd like to know if the new fear causes enemies to make morale tests at all now, or not. If not, then it means spells like panic and terror can no longer cause enemies to rout when cast. They'll be cast one time to reduce morale, and then the only way to make them flee will be to damage and kill some of them. I imagine that fear plus poison clouds will be very, very effective.
Speaking of Fenrer, what would happen if you gave him a Lycontropic Amulet? Would his berserk increase? Just a thought...

 | Probably. He might also change into a werewolf. Probably size 2 werewolf, but even at best just a Jotun Werewolf at size 4. I haven't heard of the change being limited to just humanoids, and it'd be hard to do any way. Or perhaps not. Hmm...

If it required all normal slots, Crones and other beings with more misc slots couldn't get changed. If it required all normal slots but allowed varying number of misc slots, cavalry still wouldn't change. If exception to that was added (if mounted, humanoid slots without legs is also fine), it'd work on mounted but not Nagas (good?) or Divine Emperor (bad?). Size 4 units should become Jotun Skinshifters or similar werewolves instead of normal werewolves. Should bigger creatures be immune to change? What about Hoburgs and Vaetti? What about Wolf Riders and Vaetti Chiefs, who are size 2 but mounted (on wolves, no less!)?

Okay, it would be hard to do. |
