Actually you know one nation I would like to make. I have more, about five or ten quite clearly defined and about as many diffuse ones. Slavonic nation is currently in the latter category, but that might change. I intend to get myself an Encyclopedia of Religion. 11.000 pages / 84 lbs of religious entries . IIRC there are several good entries on slavonic religion there for some inspiration. I havn't used it since I studied and I believe I would have to go to Lund (university city near Malmö) to get acess to it. Much better to have it in your own home . I once used some of the slavonic entries in an Ars Magica campaign with a story set in Riga.

I think I might have first learned of Ars Magica from you guys. Now I'll just have to get some of my friends to become more interested in wizardry than hack&slash or thievery. And actual rules for our roleplaying. The world I already have... I hope they won't mind a Horror campaign.

Ok, well, apparently for only three of us; me and the devs. Sorry, I'm cheap.

Hmm, actually wood is more resistant to fire than flesh, but out of conventions sake it might be a good idea to make the fetish susceptible to fire.

Re: Screenies!
Is there a reason why there is no spider god for Machaka?

That's a great question. I'd love to see one in a patch.

How big are Hunter Spiders... The pretender would have to even bigger. Anansi the Trickster - who devours the sun? Ugh. How can a trickster be modeled in Dominions, any way?

Re: Screenies!
A trickster can be modeled plenty of ways. After all, Air magic uses illusion to conjure up Phantasmal Warriors and Mirror Images. You'd maybe give them Glamour to indicate their face-changing abilities. Etc., etc.
And a spider god doesn't have to be -big-, per se. There's nothing that says a god has to tower over everyone and there are examples of gods taking on very normal mortal frames. I just think, given the amount of spider worship that goes on in Machaka, that they should maybe have, you know, a spider to worship. ;-)
