Re: MP Game (started)-ZenCradle&Pretender/
Yep - an hour or two isn't uncommon for mid to late game on a good sized map, at least for those nations that have been doing fairlyl well. IMO, people wanting to stay with 24 or 36 hour hosting should probably stick to games on maps that are somewhat smaller than the Cradle - not everyone is prepared to spend 4 hours every three days on a game.
While I have some understanding for the frustration on the recent slow pace of the game, I would like to point out that the very first post in this thread announcing the game stated, "When things start getting really interesting, I am guessing around turn 50-60, we will switch to 48 hour hosting for the remainder of the game.".
We're currently at turn 49, and I for one will be somewhat disgruntled if we don't go to 48 hour hosting sometime in the next 12 turns or so, as was specified in the terms of the game.

Re: MP Game (started)-ZenCradle&Pretender/
I can live with 24 hours no quickhost, and 48 hours quickhost.

Whine, whine, *****, *****!
You switched Caelum to AI, and I got treated to a volley of remote spells, some targetted at provinces and mages Caelum almost certainly did not know about.

Re: MP Game (started)-ZenCradle&Pretender/Decelerating
Has NOT been patched to 2.15.
Thoughts?

Re: MP Game (started)-ZenCradle&Pretender/Decelerating
I always think it's good to wait to patch, on account of the occasional big problems (unique artifacts crashing the game, etc). Wait a week or two first, imo.

Re: MP Game (started)-ZenCradle&Pretender/Decelerating
I would like to apologize for possibly missing a few turns in the next two weeks. I am spending my vacation in the USA, and may not be able to find much time for Dominions II. No need to slow down the game for me, I know how frustrating it is not to be able to see what your orders ended up achieving. :-)
That does not mean 'Everyone attack Vanheim!', by the way!
Oh, as for patching, I would rather finish the game with 2.14, but I do not feel strongly about it.

Re: MP Game (started)-ZenCradle&Pretender/Dece
My preference and inertia and the responses so far mean we will probably stick with 2.14

Re: MP Game (started)-ZenCradle&Pretender/Decelerating
We should be up and running again.
