Re: Greenrow: noobs, slowpace -- game on
Yep everybodies different. I've just accepted the fact that this is a slow poke game. It takes me all of 5 minutes to do a turn. I haven't been able to expand very well on this map, nor gather the force needed to rock Argatha for thier transgressions in my area.
It's not a problem though. Domminions 3 is a great game, but it plays second or third fiddle to some other software. I've always prefered technology over magic anyways.
I would like to equip my troops with automatic M4 Carbines and Druganov sniper rifles for example.

Re: Greenrow: noobs, slowpace -- game on
Eh, I guess I'm young and impatient then. I like to see my plans come to fruition or crashing down so that I can see what went wrong and make newer, grander plans to crush all that lie before me. Oh well, the other game I joined is moving along nicely and this one does provide a pleasant laid back feel to it.
Oh and I can understand where skirmisher is coming from tech-wise, though personally I would take it a step further and form battalions of Mechs to sweep across the fields covered by a variety of well planned areal assaults and judicious use of off planet artillery. Man, I'd kill for a decent Mech game, last good one in my eyes was Mercenaries though there were the Mechcommander games which weren't half bad.

Re: Greenrow: noobs, slowpace -- game on
I must be the representative for the older heneration....I could use a LOT less magic and have a LOT more rock, paper, scissors type troop warfare.
Strategic warfare conclusions coupled with Tactical set up is just fine.
I just don't understand all the Ramifacations of Magic in battle.
I really like this game and MAYBE I will understand it some day.

This is a game with great depth and replayability. I don't understand all the ramifacations either, but I do understand you have to research to get there. That research is real important in the context of this game.

Message travels fast down High Caelum Peak:
The fake God of Ulm, the foul beast of Wulkh is slain by our Goddess, Lady Aja. Not one single invader of Ulm barbarians escaped out of our holy mountain.

Well, just a one-sided slaughter. I guess Wulkh does not like the icy food on the mountain and gets diseased

Re: Greenrow: noobs, slowpace -- game on
Ahah, the funny thing is that I get this from here before I even download the new turn ^^
Well, that was a pity. I have to congrats you so Your damn extremely early thunderstrikes put serious damage on me. You arrived very soon to evo-4, I'm still around evo1 conj1 And that fortress has been sieged for like, 7 months? without coming down Looks like I seriously underestimated your potential.
Good game.

I'll probably gather gold and gems for another couple of turns, then send them with a last messenger to my allies and set myself AI.

Well, you don't have to. I'm just about to offer you a peace treaty, after all I got what I want. You still got your capital, it's still good to play.
I have my misjudgment in this game, too. I wasn't realized that you have a awaken god until I saw it. Otherwise the war would not be that early. Nice struggling with you, tough barbarian
