Default Opinions please!

The frickin' Eee won't leave one of my head honcho planets! I'm in a full partnership with them and they insist on camping a sizable fleet(1 carrier/7 support ships) on one of my important worlds. I have sizable fleet of my own there but I would like to use that to make an assault on another race in the next system. However I fear to remove my fleet incase the Eee decide to be ignorant and break their treaty...frickin little specks anyways...I have asked them several times to leave and they won't. I don't want to forcibly eject them sooooo....opinions?

Sounds like you have to beef up the planets defenses so it can deal with that Eee fleet on it's own if necessary. Fighters, WP's, bases, sats, whatever it takes.

have a current game where the Phong did the same thing to me. Playin w/full tech on in large galaxy (200 I think)... anyway, spent all the time isolating my little empire from all other races by closing all but 1 warp point into my sacred empire, when those little yellow buggers parked 8 ships directly over one of my worlds - wouldn't leave no matter what I asked - I offered to bribe em w/resources - no go. I offered to buy the ships w/resources - no go.

Had a complimenting large fleet sitting w/em - mainly due to all the Posts I've read on the sneaky little AI trick of parking and attacking - but didn't like the invasion of my privacy that little yellow fleet was causing. So I ran an intell project, captured a planet from an empire I was at war w/via puppet parties and traded the planet for all his ships - he accepted the trade - the planet was on the far side of the map and it obtained my goal of once again isolating my empire from all foreigners. Extreme but effective - no war, no mess.

Build ships, park them outside your territory and trade for the Eee fleet. Piecemeal if need be.

Whatever you do, you want to act before more ships get there. I have seen many occasions when an AI moves a defense fleet right next to my attacking fleet when I am actively at war with him. But the AI apparently looks at the ship classes and decides that if he attacked first, he would get slaughtered, so he just keeps his fleet right next to mine until I attack it. I never wait too long to kill the fleet, but I am pretty sure that it recognizes the need to send more ships to attack my fleet. Maybe one day I will sit and wait to see if the AI will ever attack my fleet in that situation.

Yep, sounds like they might decide to attack if your fleet leaves the system and gets damaged/destroyed elsewhere. Then the AI would recalculate its relationship to you and decide that you were ripe for harvest. This is what WPs and Satellites are for. You should be building them all the time, stocking up even when you don't have immediate needs for them. It's much better to use your "excess" resources than let them be generated & 'lost' even if you aren't playing a limited resources game. A large supply of WPs and Sats can make a good sized planet VERY tough to take out. If you don't have any, you'll have to keep that fleet around while you build some.

Wasted resources? That is what storage facilities are for. I almost never build WP or sats unless a planet is immediately threatened because 99% of the time they will be useless and will waste resources as bad as letting them dissapear. OK sometimes I do bring sats up to the front lines but most of the time my front line moves as fast or faster than the transport ships so thats not even an option. If an AI ship gets into my home system after the first year I would be very surprised.

The easiest way to stop this problem is to not make treaties. They don't Last long anyway because of the Mega evil empire setting and you can't keep them out of your systems if you are non-aggression or above with them.
