Default Index error after loading Mod pack

I clicked on the "Ship" icon to see the orders I had given my fleet and received an "Index Error" which froze the game.

I have never had this happen pre-Mod. Any ideas??

Jason2:

This problem was brought up yesterday. Tampa_Gamer told me he was working on it but has not yet been able to reproduce the problem. I would just uninstall the mod until they can fix it. From past issues, Tampa_Gamer usually has this fixed within a couple of days.

There is a lot of information on this board. I would make a habit of reading all the Posts from the Last couple of days to find answers before you post a question. But this board is great because you can post a question and get results. I hope this helps you Jason2, and just give Tamap_Gamer a few days.

Tampa, what if there is no save game? I have gotten aan RCE twice while in the race design/edit menu (changing attributes of the Brachyura). No save game as the agme hadn't started. BTW I did send in a bug report but the info was rather schetchy I am afraid.

What stopped the RCE's was deleting the existing .emp file for the Brachyura and making a new one.

Pathfinder- I guess I never experienced one while in "create game" process. Wow. However, I did get an invalid .emp file one time when I had modified a data file and not "re-saved" the .emp file after a starting a new game with the new data.

Jason2- Have you modified any of the data/tech files that could be causing the error?

Jason2 - If you have a save game you could e-mail at ctraber@ngn-tampa.com that would help a lot. Could you give specifics (i.e. what type of galaxy, computer player setup, starting tech level, starting racial points, etc.) this will help pinpoint where the problem is.

I have not tampered with anything

It seems the error occurs when:

You have no ships currently made (or bases) and then click on the ship icon that takes you to where you can view orders etc.

For example: I had 3 colony ships at the beginning of the game, they all arrived at their destinations and colonized. Next turn I did not have any ships but clicked just to make sure and got the error. I have tested this and it has happened 10 out of 10 times

Try it and hope this helps! I would email a saved game... but, um, I'm not sure how to do that... lol (I am a newbie at most parts of computer use).

Jason2-

Try patching the Mod 1.00 with the files contained the thread below with that name. Otherwise, if you don't feel comfortable doing that, we posted 1.01 over in the download section which fixes a spelling error and a spacing error in the Darlok files which was causing some problems.
