Default What makes this game so brilliant...

...for me is not that it contains 100000 of races and objects or stuff like that... no it's the small things that brings all of those creaturs and objects to life (which sometimes makes me laugh out loud). Take the description of trolls for example:

"Trolls are robust humanoid creatures with stonelike skin. Most trolls live in the wilderness and avoid contact with men. Trolls can survive on a diet of sticks and stones."

That brief description is really nothing special but the fact that the devs felt like they JUST HAD TO INFORM US about what the trolls eat is so wonderful. I instantly got a picture in my head of some trolls sitting in some remote forest chewing away with sticks pointing out of their mouths. And if I ever will have the honour of having trolls in my army I will feed them sticks and stones deluxe on a silver tray. (And yes I remember the troll mother from Conquest of Elysium 2... )

Keep in mind that it's actually a gameplay element! The group of Troll mercs, for example, is great against AI Abysia with its death and heat scales destroying any hope for supplies...

A lot of the descriptions have hidden meanings. It was only recently that things like "Supply Bonus", "Pillage Bonus", and "Recuperation" became icons... previously, they were secreted away in the creative descriptions. I think it's because KO is a teacher; he wants to reward literacy=)
