Hall of Fame Inaccuracies
I've noticed the data in the hall of fame is often off. For example: I've had a Slayer kill of 20 or more commanders and he'll be in the HoF, but on one turn he will be listed with 1 kill (1?), the next turn with 15, the turn thereafter with something different. Maybe it doesnt matter, but just thought I'd mention it.

Re: Hall of Fame Inaccuracies
In my present SP game, on turn 1, some dead independent on the top of HoF, by the name of Than, had a 5 digit exp! As if that wasn't strange enough alreday, the exp of this indiviudal keep changing, but always in the 5 digit range (at least the dozen turns I have checked).
Even Orion couldn't beat Than, not with only 10xx exps

Re: Hall of Fame Inaccuracies
This sounds like the Bane Venom Charm bug. Maybe the independent in question spawned with a BVC or similar effect, and was being awarded massive, overflowing XP for the civilians killed. This is supposed to go away next patch.

Re: Hall of Fame Inaccuracies
None of these are playing on my maps are they. Ive done things on some of my maps which can cause that. If they are the standard maps such as can be downloaded from illwinters site then I dont know why it would happen.

Mine was on Orania, Version 2.06, only the Caelum cold fix mod.
As for BVC, does that work even though the unit in question was dead (if not on turn one, then fairly early on)? I.e. how does it explain the fluctuating XP of a dead unit?

Re: Hall of Fame Inaccuracies
The only time I've seen this is on your Poke In The Eye map, Gandalf. One independant guy started with 25000-some experience. (Of course, I also started out with a castle of type "x" in my home province, as well as a Triton Lord with a slave collar and fire sceptre... the home province being on land. But then, that's Poke In The Eye. )
