Re: No virgins under the sea?
You can't blood hunt in sea provinces, I think.

Re: No virgins under the sea?
And no-one can ever move two provinces under water. The seas border big enough areas even without it, so I prefer things this way.
Also, as Water nations are very difficult to take out in their own element you really don't want to see them going for Blood and endless Demon/Devil hordes... Or Illwinter, with a thousand slaves!

Re: No virgins under the sea?
Also, no spell that requires a blood slave sacrifice can be cast underwater. Underwater blood mages can still forge blood items, most likely.

Re: No virgins under the sea?
You can sort of move two sea provinces away if there is a land province inbetween. So, if the commander has a movement of 3, and moves from sea province over plains, plains and into the sea as a final destination, it doesn't matter how far the final province was seawise, since it's a stratmove of 3 basically. This doesn't work in reverse unless you have sailing, of course.

Re: No virgins under the sea?
The reason there are no virgins under the sea is because of that stupid crab Sebastian from "The Little Mermaid" and his annoyingly invigorating "Under the sea, oh under the sea mon" song

Of course you can't. Think about it: blood hunting is the search and capture of virginal human females. Just how many human females, virginal or otherwise, do you really expect to find underwater (and I mean, underwater, not skinny-dipping at the beach)? Clue: none. Same reason you cannot sacrifice the poor, hapless girls at sea. They'd drown long before you reached the battlefield. Blood slaves aren't troops (they're *objects* -- I'll refrain from my usual tirade about the inequities of all that entails), and as such they cannot be the target of global spells or magical effects that permit water entry.
This one is so obvious I cannot help but wonder at why it comes as a surprise to some people ...

This one is so obvious I cannot help but wonder at why it comes as a surprise to some people ... We are speaking about a gameworld where you can play Mages, Titans, Lichs et al, who rule over kingdoms of lizardmen, squidheaded amphibians or undead Romans. And, more importantly, we are talking about a *game*.
So no reason to come down all real life logical on me
Oh, and BTW, why are there no Atlantean virgin girls?

Actually, it wasn't you that was the target of my post, it was the thread creator. Quoting you was more relevent to the point(s) I was attempting to convey.
However, since you bring it up, Dom 2's creators have gone out of their way (kudos to IW) to create a game where the pieces, setting, and rules are logical and consistent. Just because something is a game, or fantasy (or both) does not automaticaly imply that you cannot have logic, reason, or consistency. And Dom 2 proves it (or at least tries its very best to).
So the Last refuge of folks who refuse to exercise their aging brain cells, that of saying "it's a game", or "it's fantasy" as an excuse to overlook what they might find as inconvenient issues -- such as virgin girls needing air to breathe -- simply doesn't ... hold water.
That said, remember that gaming is all about having pun, er, fun.

Re: No virgins under the sea?
Would seem acceptable in my opinion for blood hunting to work underwater for mermaids which were virgins.
Why only would only human virgins qualify??
