Any changes in crossbreeding?
I wasnt really using this spell in Dominions 2. tbh, but there was a topic about it a few weeks ago, so I decided to try it. I think that its a fun "spell", but not powerful enough. I think that there should be more creature types what you can get from crossbreeding. Also the spell is not powerful enough in Doms 2. at least imho.
Any changes gonna happen to this spell in Dominions 3.? Kris or Johan?

Maybe we will see new freaky creations.
Or then J and K have been completely assimilated by the one-eyed cavern creatures.

Re: Any changes in crossbreeding?
Crossbreading is such a fun spell (though perhaps underpowered), I hope it reappears in DOM3.

Re: Any changes in crossbreeding?
Well the creatures from the crossbreeding spell had weaknesses other blood units did not carry. These weaknesses included a small upkeep cost and most of them needing food supplies. Currently the best creatures from this spell are not that great without casting other spells... also they have low magic resistance.
My suggestion for improving the spell... allow a small random chance for a type of powerful creature to appear. Illwinter can create three different types of these powerful creatures to make it more interesting. Thus if someone wishes to gamble on this spell it might be worthwhile... otherwise as mentioned earlier 'crossbreeding' is just a fun spell.

Doesn't this spell already do that? What it needs is either a much higher chance to get better creatures (around half of them sounds good), or to make some improvements to the fodder ones. Or both.
More variety is always nice, of course.

Not really... one of the best is the ettin... and even he is nothing powerful without other spells being casted.

Improving existing fodder or increasing the chance will cause the spell to be near equal of the other blood spells. Thus gamers would eventually discover which blood summon is the best deal and usually choose it.
If this spell had several new and much more powerful rare creatures in the mix then it would introduce a new type of summoning spell... a gamble summoning spell.
